Barney Point pays off again !

Ole's is blessed with the best location in the Pass with Barney Point only minutes away from our dock. This year once again it has paid dividends for those anglers who understand that when the big fish show, they will be at Barney. Brian and Rae have been fishing with Ole's for a number of years and have been rewarded for their efforts. Last year it was with a 41 lb. Chinook at Bailey and this season a beauty of 39.5 at Barney. On one of the few rainy days we have experienced this year, nothing could dampen the spirits of the these happy anglers.




20.5 lb, Coho in July !!!!

Taking a fishing trip to the remote central coast of BC has been a dream of Chuck Kuhn's for many years. This year his dream came true when he accompanied his brother and nephew to Ole's Hakai pass for the variety of angling opportunities that are availalbe. After some Hali fishig the trio turned their attention to salmon. Not too many people have the thrill of a 20+ Coho but for Chuck Kuhn, this was his year of dreams becoming reality. Young guns setting records !

On their first visit to Hakai Pass, Adam and his pal Logan did not really know what to expect. On a foggy day, along with Adams dad, the trio tried their hand a some hali fishing, Adam was the first to hook up with a tough fighting 47lb. beauty. Immediatly we looked up to see Logans rod doubled over, after an exhausting fight and a couple of harpoons later the 113 lb season record breaker was on board. We have made some changes ! After 20 years the comfortable lodge you have come to know and love has had a makeover.

Guests love the new look and feel of OLE's Hakai Pass, with more room for lounging, more dock space, our 360 degree view from the Hot Tub upstairs, you can relax and watch the action! We also have installed the internet so you can stay connected with the folks back home.

Have you been fishing but are new to Hakai Pass or Pacific Salmon? No problem, our Tutor program is designed with you in mind. We will get you dialed in and on course.

Once we have spent some time with you at our comprehensive Fishing Clinic, and you still feel a need for some extra one-on-one fine tuning, we are there for you. Our Tutors are available to make sure your maximizing your fishing potential.

Fishing Tutors are complementary and give you the benefit of our decades of local knowledge.
